Summit Client Portal: Online Policy Management for Businesses

Introduction

The Summit Client Portal centralizes your insurance tasks—policy documents, invoices, certificates of insurance (COIs), and claims—in one secure, always‑available experience. It complements our technology‑enabled brokerage model and dedicated account management, so you can handle routine work online and get expert help when you need it. See our people‑first approach on the About Us page.

What you can do in the portal

  • View and download policy documents, schedules, and endorsements.

  • Pay invoices online and see past payments and open balances. For assisted checkout, use our Checkout.

  • Request COIs, upload holder details and wording, and download issued certificates once fulfilled.

  • Report an incident and track claim status; 24/7 phone support remains available via Claim Services.

  • Message your Summit account manager, attach files, and keep a documented thread of changes/requests.

  • Keep contact details and locations current to speed renewals and mid‑term updates.

Note: Features may vary by account and insurer. Your Summit broker will enable the modules that fit your program and workflows.

  • Use the Claims tab to submit incident details and uploads for faster triage.

  • For urgent incidents, call the claims line shown on Claim Services; after‑hours support is available.

  • Summit coordinates with your insurer, assigns adjusters, and keeps you updated through the portal and by phone/email, per the process outlined on Claim Services.

Payments and billing

  • Review open items and settle invoices online in the Billing/Payments tab.

  • If you prefer a guided payment, use the public Checkout and reference your account/invoice number.

  • For questions about fees and compensation transparency, see How We Get Paid.

Privacy and data handling

  • Summit stores personal information exclusively in Canada and applies safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.

  • The portal follows Summit’s policies for collection, use, disclosure, retention, and breach notification as set out in the Privacy Policy.

Access and roles

  • Existing clients: request a portal invite from your account manager or via Contact Us. Invitations are tied to your business email.

  • New to Summit: start with a quote or consultation on our Business Insurance page. Your broker will provision access during onboarding.

  • Role‑based access: designate who can view documents, request COIs, submit claims, or make payments. Exact permissions are configured per account by your Summit team.

How this integrates with Summit service

  • Your dedicated account manager remains your primary advocate for coverage changes, complex COI wording, and claims strategy. Learn about our approach on About Us.

  • Self‑serve features reduce back‑and‑forth while preserving broker review where it matters (e.g., special endorsements, contractual obligations).
